Life is about progress
Progress is always a plus whether its achieved small or large. I went to the Greentown City Council and was referred back to the Planning Commission to obtain a Special uses Permit that works in tandem with my zoning of B2. The meeting went well and we had several folks there to support us so I am happy to pursue the Special use permit. I was always told that nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy. Revival’s is very worthwhile and I am constantly Blessed in so many ways. I recently met a woman, Sue W., who found me through my ATHA position as the Region 6 Representative. I assist individuals and the Chapters in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio for ATHA. ATHA is the Association of Traditional Rug Hooking Association. We work to ensure that Hooking is taught and appreciated among other aspects of wool and fiber appreciation. Going back to where I started with this, my new friend has been a hooker for many years and has enjoyed so many other forms of fiber arts but unfortunately is losing her sight. She has such amazing talent, is a wealth of information, and I am learning so much from her as our friendship grows. I am currently assisting her with organizing her supplies and building an inventory for her so we can sell them for her. No small task but one that I am proud to perform. I was asked how I found her and my reply was “she found me”. Sue has been helping me with a rug I had put to the side. I had bought it when I first started hooking and quickly became overwhelmed because I just didn’t have the knowledge or skill level to achieve a finished product. It sat for the longest time. We had a conversation about rugs and shading that ignited my desire to complete this rug. I doubt I would have approached it for a long time if we hadn’t’ met and this leads me to believe that everything we do and everyone we meet is part of a greater plan. I am Blessed by her friendship and I am looking forward to all the time we will have to share. This supports the adage “ timing is everything” so then being at the right place, right time, and talking to the right person led me to the church that is becoming Revival’s. I had been working on my plans for many years. I knew what I wanted to do but not the where until it was presented to me. Many people have seen the inside of the building and were overwhelmed by the amount of work they saw. All I see, every time I walk in those doors, is the future. I see a beautiful space with so much to offer. I am Blessed with every step towards opening this business and when something is completed I feel so much joy.. I know that my neighbors, well most of them, are excited to see what was an abandoned and sad building being loved and rejuvenated. I attached a picture of my new parking area. While this is not a finished product picture tonight it gives such a great visual for completion. I will be uploading a picture of the finished product with my other pictures so you can see how great it looks. Happy times. I am grateful for all my Blessings, obvious and not so obvious. I am grateful for all my challenges and the Blessing that come from them, even if they aren’t meant for me. I am part of something greater than myself and I know it.
